A
number of organisations (NCWCD, PME, Ministry of Agriculture,
Ministry of Electricity and Water) all have responsibilities for
monitoring and evaluating the state of the environment in Saudi
Arabia. PME, as the organisation charged with carrying out Ecological
Impact Assessments is most directly responsible for monitoring
impacts of development and pollution on biodiversity outside protected
areas.
The
National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development
carries out regular monitoring of the state of biodiversity as
well as consequence of management activities in all of the projected
